1. Install the Injector: In case of replacing the injector, first apply an appropriate amount of lubricating oil or sealant to the sealing ring of the new injector to ensure smooth installation and a good seal. Then, carefully insert the injector into the mounting hole.
2. Position the Injector Nozzle Nut: Align the injector nozzle nut with the threaded part of the injector and slowly screw it in. Make sure the threads of the nut and the injector are properly engaged to avoid thread misalignment or tilting. At the beginning, you can gently tighten it by hand.
3. Tighten with Tools: When the nut can no longer be tightened by hand, use a suitable wrench or torque wrench for further tightening. Operate according to the torque value specified in the vehicle maintenance manual. If there is no specific regulation, generally tighten it evenly and moderately, avoiding over – tightening or under – tightening. Over – tightening may cause the nut to deform, damage the injector, or strip the threads; under – tightening may lead to fuel leakage from the injector and poor sealing.
4. Check the Installation: After tightening, check whether the injector nozzle nut is firmly installed and there are no signs of looseness. At the same time, check if the injector and surrounding components are properly installed without interference or abnormalities.
